Thought I'd share a few photos from the track day at Putnam Park Road Course.  We had a great time.  The heat was kept at bay with a bit of wind.  Got to ride with Ken (rather I saw his tail end a few times) who I had not seen since last summer.  No sense in waiting for Bluegrass Motorsports Park to open, but I will be damn glad when they do.  It's a hike up to Putnam.

Nice pics Steve.  It was nice to see you again buddy.  I wish I had known you were looking for someone going up to Putnam.  My bike got lonely all by itself in there.  Had plenty of room for ya.  Maybe next time?

And I may say.... damn you have a good camera.

Those were all taken with a little Nikon Coolpix.  Next track day is the Thursday before Indy MotoGP.  I'm going.

I have to go to my Officer Advanced Course in Aberdeen MD for 3 1/2 months.  I leave on the 20th of August.  I hate I'm going to miss MotoGP this year.  I just got my dates last week and I am sort of disappointed.  I wanted to get more track days in this year.  Bluegrass cancellations didn't help.  I was planning on going to Putnam the week of the GP as well.  Oh well work first then play.

Man, that girl must be planning on purchasing a Benelli.  Those prices are steep...I'll stick to the Coolpix images we captured.

 Cheesy

Well I have something even better.  I got this link from the R1-Forum.   A guy had was taking video from his R1 and YOU pop up in the vid around the 6 min mark.  He got some great shots of you riding and you were looking good driving off of the corners.  The only chance he had to pass you was when you hit the straight.  You were pulling off from him pretty good in the corners and the drive out of the turns.

Yes, the Paul Smart isn't so fast on the straights.  I was glad to get it up there so that I can gain more confidence in how well it will do in the turns though.  I need me one of those R/C helicopters with a video camera mounted to it to follow me around and shoot a tape that I can get critique on.  Hmmm, perhaps I ought to look into this idea a little further.
Thanks for posting.

The Paul Smart is WAY faster than my 750 even on the straights. Only way I can keep up with everybody is to keep up as much corner speed as I can and rely on my tires and suspension to do its job and keep the screws turned and engine on boil.
